Crook Peak 8/16k

Event Information:

This run has two distances available. The lap is 8.5km and we will be running it twice, so you can either run it once or twice. There are two notable climbs on this route which are appropriate for practicing with running poles. 

The meeting point, Kings Wood Car Park, can get very busy so car sharing is very encouraged.

Distance - Approx. 8.5km or 17km

Elevation - Approx. 320m or 640m

Terrain - Steep rocky hill at one point, other than that it is grassy trails

Difficulty - Intermediate

To take part in this event you shouldn't be a complete beginner, but as long as you can run 10km comfortably then you will be fine.

Essential Kit:

• Trail running shoes
• Appropriate clothing for the weather
• Waterproof jacket if necesarry
• Minimum 500ml of water
• Some form of sodium in food or drink
• Minimum 200kcal of food
• Spare, warm change of clothes in the car
• Spare food and drink in the car
• A fully charged phone
