About the Event

Essential Information:

Only 6 people including the run leader may attend each event at the moment due to social distancing rules. You may only attend if you register for the specific event on this website. Please do not register if you cannot attend, and cancel your regestration if your plans change. You will be emailed to let you know your spot is confirmed. If you are too late, get on the waiting list and you will be emailed if a space becomes available.

Event Information:

This is an advanced and difficult run for experienced runners. You should be fit for fell running and be able to run a half marathon in 2 hours or less. You should also have experienced marathon distance prior to this. 

We will meet at the small car park in Worth Matravers, near Swanage. From here we will follow the purbeck way, passing Corfe Castle, before following Ridgeway Hill for about 7k until it leads us to the coast path. We will then follow the coast path from Worbarrow Bay, passing Kimmeridge, Chapmans Pool and St Albans Head. We will end our coast path journey at Dancing Ledge where those who wish to will be able to have a swim in the large rock pool. We will then take a short plod back to Worth Matravers and those who have time can stop for lunch in the historic pub, the Square and Compass. 

Distance - Approx. 38km

Elevation - Approx. 1200m

Terrain - Very tough terrain with rocky areas and continuous rolling hills and steep climbs

Difficulty - Hard

Essential Kit:

Trail shoes, appropriate clothing and a waterproof layer.

Enough food and water for the distance.

Head torch and backup food.

Mobile Phone.

Optional kit includes a first aid kit and foil blanket.
