About the Event

Please read all event information before attending:

Event Information:

We will meet at the main Cheddar car park. It is on Cliff Street. We will leave the car park at 8am and go on a 30k adventure in the Mendip Hills. First we will run over Cheddar Gorge, before circling round to Beacon Batch, Wavering Down and Crook Peak. From here we will follow the river Yeo all the way back to Cheddar. You will need a card or the Ringo app to pay for the car park. Please arrive with spare time to pay for parking and be ready for 8. 

Approximate Distance: 30km

Approximate Elevation: 750m

Expected Terrain: Rocky and dirt trails

Run Leader: Joe Wenman & Jason Dickson

Entry Requirements: You should be an experienced hill runner to participate. This is a long and tough run. 

Essential Kit:

  • Trail running shoes
  • Head torch with spare batteries
  • Appropriate clothing for the weather
  • Waterproof jacket if necesarry
  • Minimum 1500ml of water
  • Some form of sodium in food or drink
  • Minimum 600kcal of food
  • Spare, warm change of clothes in the car
  • Spare food and drink in the car
  • Hand sanatizer and face mask
  • A fully charged phone

Recommended Extra Kit:

  • First Aid Kit
  • Foil Blanket
  • Trekking poles

  • You must register on this page to attend
  • If your plans change, please revisit this page to cancel your attendance so another member can take your place
